Jewel O. Crawford, 95, of Rector, died Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at St. Bernard’s Regional Medical Center.
She was born January 4, 1917 in Rector, to Tom and Ada Meredith. She married Howard Crawford on December 4, 1937.
Mrs. Crawford was a homemaker, a teacher, and a member of First General Baptist Church of Rector.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Madge Callantine of Flippin, Byron and Ann Crawford, Paul Crawford, Howard Wayne Crawford, Joey Crawford, Pat and Jim Dillard, all of Rector, Veda and Butch Holligan, Kenneth and Sharon Crawford, all of Mountain Home, Dale and Geraldine Crawford of Piggott, Gayla and Tom Rice of Pocahontas. She is also survived by one sister, Florance Riggs of Elkhart, Indiana; and 120 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; children, Alma Crawford, Jerry Crawford and Monty Crawford; one brother and four sisters.
Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the First General Baptist Church in Rector.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 14th, at the church with Kenny Burns officiating. Burial will follow in Mitchell Cemetery at Greenway.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Callantine, Steven Crawford, Chris Crawford, and Joey Crawford, Jr., Terry Joe Dillard, and Mark Floyd.
